We hope you had a lovely, relaxing Easter holiday and ate lots of lovely Easter eggs :) We are ready for a busy Summer term with lots of fun activities planned!
Our topic this half term is:
Sun, Sea and Sand
In English this week (21.5.18) we are looking at a poem written by Michael Rosen called 'On the Beach'. We will be looking at the features of the poem and then planning and writing our own version!
In maths this week (21.5.18) we will be looking at fractions of amounts and objects.
On the 18th May, Emily from 'Crafty Monkey' came to visit Key Stage 1. We were introduced to a style of art called 'Pointillism'. This is painting using dots. Each child had a tile to paint using a Spring picture (flowers, butterflies, trees etc). Emily has now taken the tiles back to Crafty Monkey t be 'cooked' in her special oven. We can't wait to see the finished products!
