Our new topic is What a wonderful World!
Hinchingbrooke Park - Tuesday 27th February 2018
The children have had a fantastic day, den building in the woods whilst it was snowing, map and compass reading on a treasure trail as well as learning to light their own fires and toasting marshmallows on an open fire and making these into smores. They got so much out of the day, despite the cold weather, they managed to keep themselves warm on the open fire.
Today was Everybody Calculates day!
We cut out an egg and made birds out of the pieces and recreated the egg. This is called a Tangram. "I enjoyed doing the Tangram and while we were doing it, we got a bit confused when we made our own birds." (LH)
We did some multiplication chains. "It was hard at first doing the multiplication chains but when we got the hang of it, it was quite easy." (AL)
In PE we had to make our own games. "It was fun but also hard because we had to think as a team." (RMc)
Please find listed below links to the websites of games to help learn timetables so your child can play at home.
