This weeks learning:

Please note there is no homework on Friday 12th July but please continue to learn your spellings.
Chestnut class had a fantastic time this morning on the miniature railway in Riverside park.
Whilst we were there, we also took the opportunity to do some sketching of the park (see picture).
Week beginning 2nd July
I hope all of the children enjoyed meeting their new teachers today :-)
Some will be very familiar to them!!
English - we are continuing to read, learn and perform the story of Charlotte's web in playscript format.
Maths - continuing our work on factors and multiplication using 3,4 and 5 digit numbers.
The class had a wonderful time today, identifying each of the trees by their leaves in the school grounds.
We were amazed by the numbers of different trees that we actually found. The total was at least 8 different types!
Bushmead's "Thrive" values
This week, the children thought about the "Thrive" values and what this means to them. We thought of different ideas of what it meant to each child and created a hand to remind ourselves about what this meant. All children in Chestnut class have taken their thrive hands home.
Here is what the children achieved.
