What is Forest School?
This is an approach that is been around for some time and it is a way of education children in the outdoors on a regular basis. The skills that are learnt in the Forest will support the main curriculum and has a strong focus on raising all children’s self-esteem and independence.
We have developed a Forest School area within the school grounds to give your child unique experiences first hand, to play and learn in a controlled outdoor environment.
Safety and Behaviour
To run Forest School sessions we have a fully qualified Forest School Leader who has written a large amount of risk assessments and policies that are in place, which you are welcome to read through. Some of these are listed in our handbook to assure you that all risks have been reduced to an acceptable level.
What does your child need?
Forest School goes ahead in all weathers (with the exception of heavy winds and thunder storms) so please ensure that your child has the suggested clothes to get changes into.
If you have any questions about Forest School, please feel free to speak to Mrs Palmer who will be able to help you. We thank you for your support during this exciting time for your child!
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. B. Palmer

Currently it is Lower Phase that are accessing the woodlands. Have a look what they’ve got up to so far!
