Pride

Pride: We take pride in ourselves, our school and our community with effort and achievement recognised and celebrated

 

We expect staff to live by:

 

  • Personal appearance, dress professionally
  • Environment: high quality displays minimum standards of learning on displays,tidy classrooms
  • Promote tidiness throughout school through positive talk
  • Children and adults all wearing correct PE kit
  • Respect for the school
  • A school to be proud of
  • If a job’s worth doing ………..
  • Celebrations in school with parents invited
  • Positive reward systems throughout including
    • Effort based positive praise
    • House points linked to Growth Mindset, effort and showing our Thrive values
    • Newsletter including examples

  • Promote ourselves to the community

    • Community helping events (not for money) e.g. bag packing, litter picking. Thursday community help?
    • Promotional literature produced for school

  • House captains higher profile in school
  • Show off talented chdn, concerts / art / exhibits

We expect children to live by:

 

  • Personal appearance, always wear the correct uniform
  • Keep personal belongings tidy
  • Look after the environment you are in wherever you are, field, classroom, hall, corridor
  • Shared spaces are everyone’s responsibility e.g. library
  • Pride when we are out of school, setting a glowing example
  • Show good manners all the time
  • A school to be proud of
  • Take care of the environment outside of school
  • Get involved with a project or activity in the community through school or with your parents

 

We expect parents to live by:

 

  • Attend celebrations in school with parents invited
  • Families and local groups attend plays / concerts
  • Regularly contribute ideas making our school a school to be proud of
  • Take part in our annual school maintenance
