Our vision for our EYFS pupils

We aim to create happy and independent children who have a love of learning and demonstrate being ready, respectful and safe learners. We want every child to have the best start in life through high quality interactions and experiences to ensure they achieve a good level of development. Our staff are enthusiastic and passionate who have a good understanding on how to extend learning. Our aim is for all children to make better than expected progress based. We have a calm and purposeful environment with high quality resources to support every child holistically.

    Our curriculum

We use the non-statutory guidance document 'Development Matters' to guide our teaching and learning.

We see every child as an individual and work to provide a challenge for all pupils within our reception classes, based on their individual needs.

    Our Learning Environment

Our reception unit is a large unit which is shared across 'Ash class' and 'Oak class'. We are lucky to have a large outdoor classroom as well as a quiet courtyard. We are passionate about learning through play! We have resources continuously available throughout the year for the children to learn from. We enhance our classroom linked to children's interest and topic focus. We recently revamped our early years classroom unit with the help of 'Early Excellence'.
