Pupil Premium Update September 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID 19 global pandemic all information regarding how we spent Pupil Premium funding for 2019 -2020 and how we intend to spend the funding for 2020 - 2021 will be reviewed and updated in April 2021.
The Pupil Premium is designed to raise attainment for groups of children who experience potential barriers to learning.
The funding is allocated to Local Authorities and schools with pupils from Reception to Y11 who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), are looked after or have parents currently in the Armed Forces. Detailed below is how we spent our Pupil Premium Funding for the academic year September 2018 - July 2019. The school strategy for spending Pupil Premium funding is reviewed on an annual basis with the next review due in July 2020.
Our priorities for action this academic year are:
To accelerate progress for those eligible pupils to ensure they make at least expected progress between Key Stages.
Provide experiences in order to broaden horizons for eligible pupils, such as out of school extra-curriculum enrichment opportunities.
Provide extra adult support to facilitate emotional and academic development.
